New locations for NBN rollout

MEMBER for Maranoa David Littleproud has announced new locations for the rollout of the NBN, namely Kaimbillunbun and Condamine.

"The NBN is speeding toward completion and Kaimkillenbun will turn on the service, available to 110 premises, from March 31,” Mr Littleproud said.

"Condamine will follow suit on April 30 when the service becomes available to 80 premises.”

Mr Littleproud believes the advancement will benefit the regions, saying the NBN will enhance the way the areas conduct business and stay connected.

"The NBN hands Kaimkillenbun and Condamine locals more choices in how they live their lives and, ultimately, gives people a great opportunity to stay up to speed with education, business, news and our loved ones who live further afield,” he said.

"Breaks in our communications hinder bank card transactions and limit business sales, disrupt our ability to keep in contact with family and friends, affect online tourist information services and classes at school.

"That's why this program is so important for Maranoa.”

Mr Littleproud said his main goal for the rollout was to see the younger generation reap the benefits.

"My goal is to help build the kinds of communities our children and grandchildren either want to stay in or come back to, and better internet connectivity is certainly a big part of that,” he said.
