Ambos reveal how lucky rider survived hitting pig at 100km/h
A MOTORCYCLIST is lucky to be alive after colliding with a pig at 100km/h on the Warrego Highway at night.
Paramedics rushed the rider to hospital who suffered a leg injury after he collided with the wild animal on the highway near the town of Jackson about 7.07pm on Sunday night.
The feral pig wasn't as lucky, it died at the scene as a result of the colission.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the rider was able to regain control of the motorbike and remained upright after the pig ran out and slammed into him at speed.
"The pig was at fault… it ran out at the rider hitting him side on," he said.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the paramedics responded soon after the crash.
"Paramedics transported a male in a stable condition to Miles Hospital with a leg injury," he said.
