Display home a first of its kind
FAMILY orientated and looking into the future, Chris Henry and Chelsea Turner are ready to make Dalby a hub.
Starting the business back in September 2012, the brother and sister duo had to start their clientele from the ground up.
“Just because the business is a G.J. Gardner franchise, it doesn't mean that we had a list of clients waiting for us,” Mrs Turner said.
“We really had to work to ensure that we were local and that took while, but we have had great success ever since.”
Now with their sights on the future, the team thought long and hard about what Dalby needed, a display home.
“The opportunity for us to open our own display home arose with Mountain View Estate.
“We were always showing people through the houses we were building, who would come with their ideas and we just thought that it would be a great opportunity.”
The team at G.J. Gardner make it their mission to ensure that every house they build is a home.
“We will not build anything that we would not want to live in ourselves,” Mrs Turner said.
The new display home will be open for showings from 9-5 on weekdays and 10-2 on weekends.
Administration and sales personal, Kelsie Schrag said that if those hours don’t work for some people they will make the time.
“We understand that people are working indifferent hours these days and we are more than happy to make it work for the client.”
For those who are thinking about building a house down the track, the G.J. Gardner team are there to support you the whole way.
“With us you won’t be caught out with the fine print,” Mrs Turner said
“All our prices are fixed, if you want something that isn’t in the original plan or wish to upgrade an object, we won’t do it without your consent.”
The display home will be opened to the public at 10am on February 29, with Western Downs Mayor Paul McVeigh doing the honours.
“It is huge for us that he is willong to take the time to come down and do that, it’s great to have that support,” Miss Schrag said.
Families are encouraged to head to the event as there will be a kids entertainment section with face painting and a colouring station.
Adults can enjoy a coffee and a Bunnings sausage sizzle while looking through the display.
