DALBY Bridge Club held their annual trophy night and dinner recently to celebrate an excellent 2017.
Major awards for the year were closely contested in the A-grade division with Penny Trenerry and Rita Groom together winning the Melbourne Cup Trophy, The Daisy and Moya Smith Memorial Trophy, the John Hart Trophy and the A Grade Pairs. Penny also won the Presidents Trophy A division.
Diane Wenham and Margaret Keating won the Jack Palmer Trophy, Diane also paired with Naureen Gearon to win the Jim Smith Memorial Trophy.
Rebecca Knight won the A grade Singles and the partnership of Margaret Mangold and Daphne Stack won the Marie Walton Memorial Prize.
In the B-grade competition, Annette Griffiths won the Presidents Trophy and paired with Beryl McKay to win the Pairs Championship.
Other B-grade winners included Philip Atkinson and Bronwyn Hamilton claiming the Camm Spinks Handicap Competition, Ruth Sargent and Bunty Woollett the Novice Pairs and Ruth Routley the Singles Championship.
Most improved players in the three divisions were Rebecca Knight, Beryl McKay and Yvonne Perry.
Teams Championship winners were Diane Wenham, Rita Groom, Jenny McAinsh and Rebecca Knight.
Handicap Teams: Anna Doneley, Pam Moran, Margaret York and Philip Atkinson.
